I started working for Aramark as an intern in the Corporate Communications Department, sorting through and organizing the corporate photo database. Looking back, some of the work is still pretty solid and they must have liked it because I was hired full-time and still do freelance projects with Aramark today. Here are some notable projects.
2004 – 2007
Executive Leadership Council
Internal branding for the Aramark Executive Leadership Council (ELC). This logo and design would accompany all official communications from the ELC, an internal team of executives that determined much of the company’s direction.
Meeting In A Box
Meeting In A Box was an initiative from the Mission One office, a team focused on creating employee unity around the company mission. Their direction for my design was very loose and merely had to tie into the already established Aramark branding.
Charleston Event Planning
Another event hosted by Corporate Communications was a regional retreat for Aramark Facility Services. This business summit was held in Charleston, South Carolina and was a team building exercise with a scavenger hunt theme.
Star Team Meetings Event Planning
As for Star Team Meetings, Corporate Communications handled sending out the initial communications for these events and I was in charge of the design for these pieces.
The Mark Online
The Mark Online was an internal newsletter for Aramark employees. This newsletter was written by Corporate Communications and featured articles that celebrated Aramark employees, business practices, community service and other corporate events. This was an electronic version of The Mark, a printed publication done with an agency. Since this was created in 2007, I created this in Adobe Dreamweaver, not being able to use today’s industry standards like MailChimp or Constant Contact.
